Recently I said to a friend that I was going to aim for 1,200 calories a day in order to lose weight, but that was just me guessing at what the right number should be. So I searched around and found this calorie calculator that tells you how many calories you should have in order to lose weight at a rate you’re comfortable with.

So I filled it out and the below was the result.

My best guess of 1,200 calories was so close! I’m impressed with myself ๐ It’s also nice to know that I could go up a few hundred calories a day on occasion and still lose weight, albeit at a lower rate.
I’ve had a good food-day today. I had a smoothie for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and I’m making black bean chili for dinner. So far so good! We’ll see how it goes when I step on the scale tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed…
