I get really hungry in the evening but not as much during the day. This means that I need to eat a big dinner and I always want dessert. Losing weight under these circumstances is challenging because dessert is usually so high in calories, but I’ve found a way to eat a low-calorie cake AND lose weight doing it!

You’ve heard of “mug cakes,” right? They’re quick and easy to make and pretty popular, but low-calorie they are not. Well, I made some critical adjustments to the recipe and now you can have moist, tasty cake for dessert starting at just 103 calories for a whole bowl-full! Now that isn’t going to ruin your calorie budget. And check out the recipe notes below for all the possible yummy add-ins…

Fiber Gourmet Flour Blend

A key component in this recipe is the Fiber Gourmet flour. (If you need to use regular flour, add 64 calories. It won’t be as helpful in your weight loss, but it will still be tasty.)

Fiber Gourmet flour is pretty awesome when it comes to health benefits. This stuff is the superhero of flours, packing a serious punch of fiber. It works like magic to help you feel fuller for longer, which is a bonus if you’re trying to shed a few pounds. But the best part? You can sneak it into all your favorite recipes without sacrificing flavor.

So, for example, you could add the chocolate chips to the basic recipe and it would come to just 143 calories.
Or if you have it in your calorie budget, and you want an really satisfying dessert, add the cacao powder, the chocolate chips, and use chocolate protein powder. All that comes to just 160 calories but tastes very decadent – it’s reminiscent of a chocolate lava cake!
